The bike tour begins in the south side. Let's get to know the famous urban beaches of Boa Viagem, Pina and Brasília Teimosa, a fisherman village that still resists the strong pressure of the real estate market. We will continue through the reefs, which give our city its name and holds one of the most beautiful views of Recife. We will continue to the Francisco Brennand's Sculpture Park and, in a small boat, the "baiteira", we will cross the river and reach the Island of Recife, the central part (Recife Antigo) and where the city began. We will also explore the historical districts, squares, buildings, biking across the bridges of the "Brazilian Venice", along the oldest street in the city (Bom Jesus), biking along the Capibaribe River banks, and ending the tour in the most iconic street market of the city, the São José Market.

It is from Varadouro neighborhood, that our tour begins. We will walk through the historic heritage site of Olinda, declared in 1982 by UNESCO as a Historical and Cultural Heritage of Humanity. For about 3 hours you will discover the winding streets of colorful houses and wonderful views over the treetops, church towers and red roofs of one of the oldest, most preserved and beautiful colonial cities in Brazil. And of course, let's talk about Carnival, because it's impossible to go to Marim dos Caétes and not know how the biggest popular party in Brazil happens. And you will even meet a Baobab, an African tree better known as the Tree of Life.
Tour 3 - PROMO!
Recife + Olinda

Distance: 25km biking / 04km walking

This route is a mix of tours 01 and 02. It lasts around 07h30 and is indicated for those who do not have much time and want to know the maximum of the two cities in the same day. It starts at 9 am on Boa Viagem, passes through downtown Recife, where there will be a stop at one of the public markets, from 01h to lunch (not included). In the afternoon the destination is Olinda, where you arrive in about 30 minutes. Arriving there, we leave the bikes to walk, at about 02h, to explore its historical site. We take the bicycles to return to Recife, where, around 4h30 pm, the tour ends.

Biketour in Recife

Recife is an ideal city for bike riding or bike tourism. It’s predominantly flat, with an average temperature around 27ºC / 80.6ºF. We have one of the highest average daily bicycle commuting rate among brazilian capitals. The tour is almost entirely in bike paths/lanes or in places where the car traffic is calm.
